BIS is an office fit-out space designed for a young tech company with very limited budget. The design promotes collaboration through a series of lounges interspersed between open bullpens and transparent executive suites, and features two conference ‘objects’ wrapped in writable wall surfaces, creating a living canvas that records daily conversations, and allows formal and informal meetings to happen at the same time.

While the open office model does not work for everyone, these custom bullpen “cubes” create a work space that is both private and collaborative. Each cube is divided into four semi enclosed cubicles. The space between the cubes become a shared meeting space for each team. The exterior shell is made of writable OSB panels while the interior is made of solid core doors. The polycarbonate divider allows natural light to spill evenly throughout without sacrificing privacy between office neighbors.
